Position: Ship Fitter Job Location: Hahnville LA, Elmwood LA, Belle chasse LA, Harvey LAHutco Branch: Harvey, LARate of Pay: $22.00 per hour, time and a half for overtime after 40 hours. Hutco Inc. is looking for 1st class ship fitters for shipyards located in Hahnville LA, Elmwood LA, Belle chasse LA, and Harvey LA. Looking for first-class ship fitters only with shipyard experience. A test will be done on location to determine your capability. It primarily repairs work on barges and boats. NO twic card is required. Description: Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within the ship's hull for welding. Requirements:Minimum 2 years experience as 1st class ship fitterOutfitting experienceMust know Ship terminologyMust lay out and fabricate parts for shipsMust be able to burn, wash and bevel with a hand torchMust pass a drug test and physicalMust be able to work all shifts Benefits: A limited benefit plan is available to Hutco, Inc.
