Job Description:
Office of Human Resources & Institutional Equity Location: New
Orleans, LA Summary The conflict resolution specialist position
assists in establishing and maintaining student-student
relationships that contribute to a safe, congenial, and inclusive
student experience and overall Tulane community; creates and
maintains a positive and effective alternative dispute resolution
environment; and provides quick, effective, and responsive
mediation of student disputes. Develops and conducts proactive
educational programs to include appropriate methods and strategies
for mediation, restorative approaches, and conflict resolution.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities --- Working knowledge and
ability to apply principles, practices and techniques of
negotiation, active listening, restorative approaches, and conflict
management. --- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving
skills. --- Highly proficient computer skills; working knowledge of
Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
--- Ability to apply oral and written communication skills. ---
Ability to apply and use organizational and time management skills,
including the ability to manage multiple assignments
simultaneously. - --- Ability to prepare reports and presentations
independently, and present ideas clearly and concisely. --- Ability
to maintain confidentiality in all work performed. --- An
understanding of the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion
in the workplace and a commitment to foster these principles in the
environment in alignment with Tulane's Strategy for Tomorrow. - The
