The Patient Coordinator -Lead is typically the initial contact a patient has with DIS.


We currently have an opening for Patient Coordinator-Lead-Front Desk at our Westbank clinic in Marrero.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


Assists with the overall supervision of the clinic on a day-to-day basis and assumes the role of Clinic Manager in his/her absence, along with the Technical Lead Tech. Monitors and helps evaluate the performance/progress of all employees and gives constructive feedback on a regular basis. Assists with performance management issues in cooperation with immediate supervisor.

Serves as the liaison between clinic personnel and pre-registration, scheduling, and patient accounts departments. Point of contact for daily staff questions and issues. First point of contact for problem resolution within the clinic and department, including problems with patients, employees and radiologists.

Assists in the training and orientation of new clerical employees. Continues developing staff to their full potential: empowers staff to make decisions independently while learning from mistakes.

Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of all aspects of the radiology information system and mammography information system, including troubleshooting techniques. Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of all computer fields enters new insurance and physician information as required.

Demonstrates knowledge of all requirements for each HMO/PPO plan with which the clinic has contracted; insures that claim forms or authorization numbers are obtained when needed prior to the performance of radiological procedures.

Monitors and corrects computer information that was input incorrectly and takes corrective action with the employee responsible.
