Job Description:

Project Engineer for Commercial Construction Mandeville, LA Entry Level position for a Construction Management graduate with interest in progressing to a Project Manager in commercial construction. 1-2 years of experience within the construction industry preferred. Bachelor's degree Construction Management or related field preferred.

• Maintain control of all project documentation.
• Create, manage and track RFI's from the field to the Architect/Engineer of record.
• Assist the Project Manager/Superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule.
• Understand Project plans and Specifications.
• Assist project team with conflict resolution between Owner, contractor and subcontractor.
• In charge of turning in submittals from subcontractors to A/E for approval for all scopes of work based of the plans and specifications.
• Responsible for understanding project plans and answering field personnel questions.
• Understands appropriate building codes/ regulations
• Coordinates project change order management, creation, negotiation between Project Manager and Owner.
• Assists the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.
• Assist the project team with documenting job progress, schedule.
• Assist the project team with closeout of the project.
• Assist Project Accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.
• Assist Project Manager with assigned tasks. Salary: $45,000-55,000 (DOE) Vehicle allowance Medical/Life PTOJob Requirements:
  • Assist in forecasting of projects
  • Ensure that client invoices are billed accurately, consistently and timely Complete needed forms including G702
  • Approve non-technical COP documents
  • Supplied inventory in SPT Warehouse and insure par levels are maintained to execute Annual Capital Projects
  • Consolidate all vendor proposals d. Complete budget summary along with all associated back up for review
  • Preparing the Facility Information Sheet
  • Pull job credit number and assist with credit supplement processing
  • Escalate appropriately to the Director of Professional Services
  • Providing assistance to the Project Administrator
  • Permitting a. Prepare Sample Boards b. Distribution of plans
  • Preparing and processing warranty and close-out books
  • Preform all duties and responsibilities in support of field services and operations
  • Improve process efficiency and performance/li
  • Ensure contract compliance and successful completion
  • Ensure that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects
  • Follow up on signature return and insurance certificate
  • Assist Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and collections and payroll (20% - 25%)
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion
  • Work closely together to succeed in meeting the needs of customers and to exceed goals
  • Produce and maintain relevant summary reports on actual projects and expenditures
