Job Description Lead Maintenance Tech Needed $30/hr plus $$ OT for On-Call Rotation About the Company: JW Property Services manages properties for owners all throughout the New Orleans metro area. We currently manage over 350 different properties around New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, Marrero, Gretna, Westwego, Slidell, Covington, and Mandeville. Job Description: The lead maintenance technician will be responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. This position will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks at locations Some tasks may include: Performing routine maintenance around the location such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair Diagnose and repair minor plumbing issues to avoid water damage, restore full use of water fixtures, and snake a sewer line or toilet. Diagnose electrical issues and perform light electrical tasks Maintaining and diagnosing HVAC equipment. Understand how to troubleshoot and narrow down issues, perform repairs, and replace air handlers or condensers as needed. Applying preventative measures to the location to reduce the risk of future problems Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries Basic grounds maintenance like picking up trash, trimming bushes, trees, etc. Maintain work order status, notes, etc. through an online app on a smartphone. Required Experience: 5 years of experience in the service/residential maintenance industry 5 years of experience in residential HVAC maintenance Fluent in English (written and oral) Required Certifications: EPA Universal Materials Needed for the Job: A Company van will be provided Applicants must have their own tools and reliable transportation Screening Criteria: Required to pass a background check and driving record Typical end time: 3PM Typical start time: 7AM
