Job Description:

an Inventory Manager. The person will be responsible for monitoring
the inventory and processes to ensure the processes are executed
accurately, on-time and meet business needs. The Inventory Manager
provides troubleshooting, problem solving and process improvement
which enables the inventory team to operate more efficiently, while
continually improving internal and external customer
service.Position type: Full Time Responsibilities:
- Monitor hour-by-hour inventory activities
- Lead improvements to existing processes and methodologies with
a constant focus on continuous improvement
- Create and review inventory processes
- Train new team members on inventory processes
- Train current team members on new inventory processes
- Lead short and long-term departmental projects, such as the
cycle count program, barcode scanner implementation, and new
inventory storage solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams
- Make recommendations regarding staffing requirements and
strategies
- Identify opportunities and improve material flow efficiency
from RM receipt to shop floor
- Monitor and improve metrics for all aspects of inventory
management - i.e. receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy (cycle
counts)
- Lead and exemplify a culture of continuous improvement (CI) by
engaging team members to participate, teaching CI principles, and
coaching peers with improvement projects of their
ownEducation/Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in inventory control or similar
position.
- Excellent understanding of ERP systems.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (word, excel, and
outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and direct team members in challenging
situations
- Willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice to achieve company
objectives
