Logistics Coordinator Port Sulphur, LA - System One -is seeking a -Logistics Coordinator -for a 6???12-month contract opportunity with potential for permanence in -Port Sulphur, LA. Summary: -The Marine Offloading Facility Coordinator administers the communications, vessel scheduling, berth assignments and reporting for all Marine Offloading Facility and cargo activities. Executes assigned work under the limited supervision and guidance of the Marine Offloading Facility Manager. The candidate is required to effectively establish, foster, and maintain good relationships with the client and service providers while driving project execution. Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Regular review of upcoming marine offloading facility bound vessels; coordination with project logistics manager and site construction to insure proper sequencing and optimization of facility.
• Communicate with agents, vessel operators and authorities to ensure vessel movements are planned and executed safely and expeditiously
• Receive, review, and approve berth requests.
• Update and issue daily project vessel position/status report.
• Provide support to the MOF Manager on operations, schedules, issues as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned. Logistics Coordinator Requirements:
  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience in related fields i.e., marine operations; terminal operations; vessel agency
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Ability to work where procedures are of a varied or diversified nature
  • Ability to recognize timelines and deadlines to prioritize work accordingly
  • Ability to successfully interface internally and externally with multiple levels of personnel
  • Meticulous attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred- Bachelors degree (B.S.) with Marine Transportation or Logistics major, Previous tug and barge experience, Previous experience in Mississippi River vessel operations Physical Requirements
    • Required to communicate in person, via telephone, and email. Use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 pounds safely. Occasionally may adhere to extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Position is location on an industrial facility and will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and work boots.
