Boeing Global Services is searching for F-18 Avionics/Electricians
willing to work 1st or 2nd shift at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint
Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate
will be required to work onsite atNAS JRB New Orleans in Belle
Chasse, Louisiana.
This position is eligible for a Stipend payment in addition to
salary for eligible candidates.
Position Responsibilities:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing,
removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to
correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots complex hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate
mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and
components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure
contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results,
applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness
requirements.
Oversees training.
Works under general direction.
Aircraft Electrician:
Able to perform connector terminations including shielded wires,
coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
Ability and understanding of routing instructions and handling of
harnesses.
Perform efforts associated with sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying,
and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with
standard processes.
Ability to troubleshoot avionics and electrical issues.
Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering
drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit
requirements to perform electrical modification/repair as well as
general avionics repair.
Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot
level modification and repair of electrical wiring.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security
Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start
isrequired.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft
maintenance
Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights
and weekends
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
Minimum of 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting
technical publications and/or maintenance manuals
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Fighter Electrical modification experience
Fighter Avionics modification experience
Must be able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions
(Humidity/High temperatures) with exposure to loud noise and
exhaust fumes
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education
(e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years'
related work experience or an equivalent combination of education
and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related
work, Bachelor, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $59,500 - $80,500
